Being named the most powerful CUV in its segment gives the new Hornet a lot to live up to, but it’s up for the challenge.

With two choices of powertrains, each holds its own in terms of power and performance. The Dodge Hornet R/T takes the top marks in reactive speed, going from 0 to 60 mph in just 5.6 seconds, while the GT serves as the fastest CUV, reaching a top speed of an incredible 140 mph.

What makes the Hornet R/T reach that speed in such a short amount of time? We can thank the 2.4-liter T4 PHEV engine for that. Producing 383 lb.-ft of torque and a powerful 288 horsepower with electric all-wheel drive, this performance engine brings thrills with every ride.

While the R/T may be the quickest, the GT is the fastest, and it’s no surprise when it’s powered by an engine with “Hurricane” in its name.

The 2.0-liter Hurricane 4 Turbo engine produces 268 horsepower and up to 295 lb-ft. of torque, making this ride fast and fun.

Spacious, Comfortable, and Sleek: The Dodge Hornet Interior

As a performance-driven CUV, the Hornet needs to be bold, both under the hood and inside the cabin.

Upon first look, you’ll quickly notice the all-black interior with red accent stitching, providing the Hornet with a timeless look that demands a bit of attitude and attention.

Luxury features take precedence inside the cabin, with available Alcantara eight-way front and passenger seats with three heating levels, along with a power sunroof and power liftgate for added convenience.
