Two years ago, drivers said a heartbreaking farewell to the RAM 1500 TRX. During its 2021 to 2024 reign, the TRX quickly became known as one of the most powerful production trucks ever made. Built with exceptional off-road capability and a supercharged V8 engine, the TRX became a fan-favorite off-road icon.

However, it wasn’t enough to keep it off the chopping block. As automotive industry standards changed and sustainability became the new “must-have” feature, RAM made the tough decision to say goodbye to the TRX.

But sometimes, the pendulum swings back, opening the door for a new era of innovation…

The 2026 RAM 1500 TRX Details: Here’s What We Know

The RAM TRX is back for 2026, and it’s not coming in unnoticed.

The RAM 1500 SRT TRX Bloodshot Night Edition

The RAM TRX for 2026 comes in bold, starting with a special-edition appearance. The Bloodshot Night Edition is boisterous and daring, from the roof down to the wheels. It includes:

  • Bespoke Painted Blacktop Upper, including hood and roof
  • Lower body two-tone paint
  • Custom red center accent stripe on the hood
  • Exclusive bedside splash graphic
  • 18-inch beadlock-capable wheels

The Hellcat V8 Returns

When we said goodbye to the TRX back in 2024, we also had to grieve the loss of the V8 engines. But a new era is here, and the TRX returns with the only option we’d accept: the 6.2-liter HEMI V8 known as the Hellcat.

The RAM 1500 TRX Hellcat V8 for 2026 is supercharged and ready to roll, achieving top marks in horsepower, torque, and speed. The Hellcat V8 engine delivers best-in-class 777 horsepower, best-in-class 680 lb-ft of torque, and, if it wasn’t obvious, best-in-class top speed of 118 mph.

RAM gave it the moniker of “fastest production gas off-road truck ever,” and with numbers like this, we don’t think they’re bluffing.

Bold Design and Interior Features You Can’t Ignore

The new RAM TRX is poised to be a showstopper all on its own, and it starts with its paint job. The RAM TRX exterior paint colors will include:

  • Spitfire Orange
  • Silver Zynith
  • Forged Blue
  • Diamond Black
  • Bright White
  • Molten Red
  • Serrano Green

The exterior may be built for the back roads, but the interior is all about refinement. 12-way power-heated, leather-trimmed seating and carbon-fiber accents bring a premium feel to the cabin, and the available dual-pane panoramic sunroof lets you take in the outdoors without leaving your seat.

Other notable interior features include:

  • Class-exclusive reclining rear seats
  • Best-in-class 44.8 inches of rear legroom
  • 19-speaker Harmon Kardon premium audio system
  • 14.5-inch touchscreen
  • Head-up display
  • Digital rearview mirror

Assessing the Competition

The RAM TRX for 2026 is a force to be reckoned with, but it’s not fighting against itself. When it comes to competitors, it’s back in the ring with its former rival, the Ford F-150 Raptor.

When it first arrived on the automotive scene, the 702-horsepower 2021 RAM 1500 TRX easily left the 450-horsepower Ford F-150 Raptor in the dust. And we have a feeling history may offer a repeat performance.

Cost & Release

The new 2026 RAM TRX price is expected to be between $110,000 and $112,000, based on the current Ford F-150 Raptor R and its price when it was discontinued back in 2024.

It is expected to make its return later this year.
